Overview

Job Title: Production Quality Manager

Role Type: Permanent, Full time

Location: Charleville Co. Cork 

 

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the Production team in achieving production targets, ensuring the safety and efficiency of the production line, and maintaining the highest standards of product quality. You will ensure consistency and compliance across a large production department, leveraging your extensive experience to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

As the Production Quality Manager, you will work closely with the wider Operations Management team to ensure the effective and efficient production of all products, focusing on yield, quality, and cost achievement. You will play a pivotal role in developing the team and fostering a positive culture on-site, particularly in relation to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental agendas.

We are seeking a seasoned professional who is passionate about continuous improvement and waste reduction. You should be adept at challenging the status quo, offering innovative solutions, and transforming creative ideas into effective strategies. Your ability to manage business costs and deliver projects through your team will be crucial.

Your role will involve addressing a wide range of business challenges in a dynamic Production environment.

 

Qualifications

 

Your role will see you tackle a wide range of business challenges in a busy production environment.

The ideal Candidate will have or demonstrate:

 

  • At least 3 - 5 years of leadership or management experience in a manufacturing or production environment, ideally within the food industry.
  • A 3rd level qualification in Food Science, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of excellent project management skills.
  • Lean Six Sigma qualification is highly desirable.
  • High motivation, flexibility, and the ability to work on your own initiative.
  • knowledge and experience in food production are desirable.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop people and teams to achieve established goals and improve department performance
  • Commercial awareness and cost management skills essential
