Type: Full-Time

 

Role Summary: 

We are seeking a Packing Chargehand to oversee packing operations within the Offal Department. This hands-on role involves coordinating a small team to ensure that offal products are packed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in meat processing, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to hygiene and compliance.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be based at our Slane production site and will be responsible for:

  • Lead and supervise the packing team in the offal area to meet daily production targets.
  • Ensure all products are packed according to specifications and customer requirements.
  • Monitor packing line performance and address any issues promptly.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and traceability.
  • Coordinate with production and quality teams to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Train new staff and support ongoing development of team members.
  • Complete relevant paperwork and records accurately and on time.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies.

The ideal Candidate will have or demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in a meat processing or food production environment.
  • Strong understanding of packing procedures and product handling.
