Overview

Job Title: General Operative.

 

Location: Rathdowney Co. Laois 

 

Reporting to: Abattoir Manager.

 

Contract type: Permanent.

Dawn Meats have opportunities for General Operatives to join our production team in Dawn Meats, Rathdowney, Co. Laois. We are seeking reliable and hardworking General Operatives to join an industry leader that provides opportunities for training and progression to the right candidates.

Responsibilities

 

The successful candidate will be based at our production plant in Rathdowney and will:

  • Work as part of a team on a production line to cut, trim, skin and pack a number of beef products from slaughtered animals;
  • Separate edible portions from offal to customer specification on a fast-paced production line to fulfil production targets;
  • Clean materials to prepare them for production;
  • Ensure high levels of hygiene standards are maintained;
  • Cut meat products as per customer requirements;
  • Process animal carcasses;
  • Sharpen and adjust cutting equipment;
  • Provide support to the production team;
  • Keep good housekeeping standards in all areas;
  • Follow work instructions in all areas;
  • Ensure quality guidelines are followed for all area
